Upon the passing of bandleader and DJ Lee Roy Matocha in July of 2003, John and Julie recognized the need for his legacy of polka radio to continue at KULP in El Campo, TX. After extensive discussions with long-time station manager Jerry Aulds, they agreed to pick up where Lee Roy left off and produce a polka radio show that paid homage to the traditions of Czech, German, and Polish communities, while introducing them to new music in the polka genre.

In order to start their show in short order, they to quickly build an extensive polka music library, establish relationships with the many long-time sponsors of polka programming on KULP, and gather new sponsors to keep polka music going in the Texas gulf coast.

Fast forward to today, John and Julie Dujka are well known in the central Texas listening area, and the only husband/wife duo in radio programming in the area. They would like to thank their loyal listeners and the loyal sponsors that have helped to make the show happen and invite you to join in the fun each weekend for "Saturday Morning Dance Time!" which airs from 10:00-12:00 noon on KULP 1390 in El Campo. You will hear polkas, waltzes, and variety from Texas artists, as well as music from nationally known groups.
